Star Casino Gold Coast Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Star Casino Gold Coast premises, services and website. By entering the premises or accessing any related digital platform, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use in full.
1. Definitions and Scope
Star Casino Gold Coast is operated by The Star Entertainment Qld Limited ABN 78 010 741 045, part of The Star Entertainment Group Limited. These Terms of Use apply to all visitors, members and users of the casino, hotel, hospitality services and online platforms located at star.com.au/goldcoast.
References to “the company”, “the venue” or “the premises” mean The Star Entertainment Qld Limited trading as Star Casino Gold Coast. “You” or “your” refers to any person accessing or using the premises, services or website.
2. Access and Entry Conditions
2.1 Right of Admission
The company reserves the right to refuse entry to, or withdraw the right to remain on, the premises for any reason, including in accordance with the Casino Control Act 1982 (Queensland). Entry to all areas is at the discretion of the company and may be subject to capacity limits, security screening and identification checks.
2.2 Age Requirements
You must be 18 years of age or older to enter gaming areas and to participate in casino activities. Valid photographic identification must be produced upon request. Persons under 18 years of age are prohibited from entering or remaining in gaming areas.
2.3 Membership and Premium Areas
Access to premium gaming rooms, including Chairman’s and Sovereign Premium Gaming Room, is restricted. Access to Chairman’s is by invitation only and requires a valid The Star Club membership card. All persons entering Chairman’s are subject to customer screening checks. Access may be revoked if screening cannot be completed, if screening outcomes are unsatisfactory, or if the company is prohibited from providing access.
Non-members present in Chairman’s are not permitted to participate in gambling and must be accompanied by an authorised employee at all times.
3. Prohibited Conduct
The following activities are strictly prohibited on the premises:
- Cheating, fraud or any form of unlawful gaming activity
- Theft, violence, fighting or threatening behaviour
- Possession, use or distribution of illegal drugs or substances
- Bringing minors into gaming areas
- Disruptive behaviour that interferes with other guests or venue operations
- Unauthorised recording, photography or filming in restricted areas
- Any conduct that breaches applicable laws or regulations
Any person engaged in prohibited conduct may be removed from the premises immediately and the matter may be referred to law enforcement authorities.
4. Exclusions and Restrictions
4.1 Exclusion Orders
You must not enter or remain on the premises if you are subject to:
- An exclusion direction issued under Queensland gaming legislation
- A self-exclusion order from any casino or premises operated by The Star Entertainment Group Limited or its related entities
- A Withdrawal of License (WOL) from The Star Sydney, Star Casino Gold Coast or any related property
Breach of an exclusion direction, self-exclusion order or WOL may result in prosecution and further legal action.
4.2 Screening and Verification
Screening and verification checks are conducted on an ongoing basis in accordance with regulatory obligations. You must cooperate with all reasonable requests for identification, membership verification and compliance checks. Failure to comply may result in denial of access or removal from the premises.
5. The Star Club Membership
The Star Club membership is governed by separate Terms and Conditions effective 11 August 2025, available at thestarclub.com.au/terms-conditions. Membership cards remain the property of the issuing entity and must be presented for access to member benefits, promotions and restricted areas.
Membership may be suspended or terminated if you breach these Terms of Use, The Star Club Terms and Conditions or any applicable laws.
6. Website and Digital Services
6.1 Use of Website
The website at star.com.au/goldcoast is provided for informational purposes. You may access and use the website for lawful purposes only. Unauthorised use of the website, including attempts to interfere with site functionality, access restricted areas or collect user data, is prohibited.
6.2 Intellectual Property
All content on the website, including text, graphics, logos, images and software, is owned by or licensed to The Star Entertainment Group and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit any content without prior written consent from the rights holder.
7. Privacy and Data Handling
Personal information is collected, stored and used in accordance with privacy obligations under Australian privacy legislation. Personal information may be collected for the purposes of:
- Identifying and verifying users
- Providing requested services and managing bookings
- Administering contracts and memberships
- Promoting site safety and security
- Providing updates and communications
- Complying with legal and regulatory obligations
Personal information is not sold to third parties. You may request access to your personal information or lodge a privacy complaint by contacting the relevant Privacy Officer. Access requests and complaints are generally assessed and responded to within 30 days.

8. Accommodation and Guest Conduct
Guests using accommodation services are subject to additional terms and conditions applicable to accommodation bookings and stays. Rooms must be vacated by the specified checkout time. Disturbances to other guests, damage to property or breach of house rules may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund.
9. Promotions and Prize Draws
Participation in promotions, prize draws and competitions is subject to specific terms and conditions published for each event. Eligibility is generally restricted to The Star Club members of specified tiers. You must hold an active membership card and produce valid identification to claim prizes.
Monetary prizes up to one thousand dollars may be issued in cash. Any remaining balance of a cash prize will be awarded via an alternative method as specified in the relevant promotional terms and conditions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, all liability for loss or damage arising from or in connection with your use of the premises, services or website is excluded, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection legislation.
The venue is not responsible for loss or theft of personal property on the premises. You are responsible for the security of your belongings at all times.
11. Changes to Terms
These Terms of Use may be updated at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the premises, services or website following any change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The current version of these Terms of Use is available on the website and at reception.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms of Use or your use of the premises or services is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
